The Bridge was planned during the term of 3rd Prime
Minister, Tun Hussein Onn in 1970s.
Built during the 4th Prime Minister, Tun Dr.
Mahathir Mohamad in the 1980s and finally opened to
traffic in 14 Sept. 1985.
