In our continuous efforts to improve our services and ensure customers’ safety and satisfaction, Penang Bridge has over the years, implemented several initiatives to facilitate toll payment, improve traffic flow, upgrade the Bridge structure and improves the maintenance system.
Our operations are equipped with various facilities for the comfort of the commuters. 24 toll lanes are open on the bridge; 10 are for motorcycles while 14 more are for other classes of vehicles. To ease congestion, 24 toll booths is maintain to give commuters a choice of two drive-through options using the Touch n’ Go and SmartTAG.
Maintenance works are carried out on the bridge and toll plaza, which include bridge structure inspections (land, above water and underwater) preventive maintenance and heavy repair. Improvement works are also carried out to enhance user’s convenience and satisfaction in line with the company’s quality and corporate objectives.
Enforcement by 24 personnel of PB Ronda for patrolling and towing service round the clock along the concession area to attend to accident and breakdown with provision of in-house patrolling and evacuation vehicle; 5t and 20t capacities towing truck, 4 motorcycles and 2 Ford Ranger (FWD) for patrolling activities along the concession area.
