• Equipped with 2 Toll Plazas consisting 24 lanes of toll booths which include 10 lanes for motorcycles, while 14 lanes for other classes of vehicles with choices of two drive-through options using the Touch n’ Go and Smart Tag.

• 23 units of 24-hour closed circuit television (CCTV) camera installed at 9 lay-bys on the bridge and other hotspot locations within the concession area for traffic surveillance.

• 4 units Variable Message Sign (VMS) and 5 units Portable Variable Message Signs (PVMS) for traffic alert within PBSB concession area.

• 361 units of street light installed on the bridge, whilst 207 units were installed at other location within the concession area, bringing a total number of street light to 568 units.

• 148 units of high mast light ware installed at strategic location within the concession area.

• Enforcement by 24 personnel of PB Ronda for patrolling and towing service round the clock for both Penang and Perai bound to attend to accident and breakdown within 20 minutes evacuation time.

• Provision of in-house patrolling and evacuation vehicle; 5t and 20t capacities towing truck, 4 motorcycles and 2 Ford Ranger (FWD) for patrolling activities along the concession area.

• Emergency telephone (ET) on every 2km on both side of the bridge at 24-hour and PBSB Bridgeline 1300-1300-03 available at 24-hour to assist user during emergency.

• Penang Bridge Communication Centre (PBCC) operates at 24-hour to monitor the traffic flow on the bridge and to dispatch assistance immediately during any incident.

• “Online Traffic Information Management System (OTIM)” - sms service via handphone to request for latest traffic updates by typing the following instructions:
